I know, I know, you’ve all heard it before: “It’s so good for your mind”, “You really feel lighter after”, “I can deal with stresses in my life a lot easier”, “It’s great for your circulatory system and overall health”, “How can something so simple have such a positive effect?” It starts to sound like an infomercial, something to good to be true. That is what I first thought…
Boy was I wrong! Yoga is great and it has changed my life a lot, from living healthier, learning to push my body and mind, having more of a calmer persona and I still learn something new when I practice, either about myself, Yoga, or others around me. An important lesson I’ve learned is it’s the actual people practicing yoga that are exceptional. We are the ones that take a chance, trying something new (either new to yoga or not) and push ourselves to become better from the inside out, mentally and physically. Practicing Yoga helps us achieve this.
Hiding at the back of the room for yoga classes for close to a decade, I’ve moved up to the very front! Recently receiving my YTT in Hatha Yoga via Damask Studio’s, specializing in Restorative Yoga and having a strong knowledge in Anatomy and Thai Massage, I’m excited to guide newcomers, yoga enthusiasts and even pro’s through a journey of pramayama (breath), meditation, mindfulness and of course asana’s (postures). You might even catch me doing a headstand or trying to perfect my handstand every once in a while if you come to one of my classes
